Australia took part in the 1960 Winter Olympics in the US city ​​of Squaw Valley with 30 athletes, four women and 26 men, in five sports.

Since 1936 it was the fourth participation of an Australian team in the Winter Olympics .

Flag bearer

Ice hockey player Vic Ekberg carried the flag of Australia during the opening ceremony at Blyth Arena .
