At the XVIII. The 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano held three ski jumping competitions. The venue was the Hakuba ski jumping stadium in Hakuba .
There were again two outstanding athletes in ski jumping. The Japanese Kazuyoshi Funaki and the Finn Jani Soininen each won a gold and a silver medal in the individual competitions. Funaki also won one more time with the Japanese team.
