Georgia took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics in the Japanese Nagano with a delegation of four athletes in two disciplines in part, three men and a woman. None of the athletes managed to win a medal.
The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the ski racer Sopia Akhmeteli .
