Oona Devi Liebich
Oona Devi Liebich (born February 12, 1984 in Leipzig ) is a German actress .
Life
The name Oona Devi ( Devi means “goddess” in many Indian languages ) was chosen by her mother when she was not allowed to call her daughter “Unna” in the GDR .
Liebich grew up in Berlin . She was discovered in the school yard, where cast agents looked around for unused faces. At the age of 15 she was advertised for her first film role as "Painting" in Crazy . After filming, she stopped accepting offers for a long time in order to have more time for school. Shortly before graduating from high school , she received an offer to play the leading role in Paule and Julia , whereupon she dropped out of high school without a high school diploma. She can now be seen in several films and series.
With her husband, the actor İsmail Şahin , they made their joint feature film debut in 2015 in Not Rudi Again! .
Liebich has a child with her husband.
