Oracle Netsuite Open 2018

The Oracle Netsuite Open 2018 took place in San Francisco , California , United States from September 27 to October 2, 2018 . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2018/19 and belonged to the PSA World Tour Gold category . At the same time, a women's squash tournament of the 2018/19 PSA World Tour took place. It belonged to the PSA World Tour Silver category .

Last year's winners were Mohamed Elshorbagy for the men and Sarah-Jane Perry for the women. Elshorbagy reached the final again, in which he was defeated by Ali Farag in four sets. Sarah-Jane Perry defended her title with a final win over top seeded Raneem El Weleily , the game ended 11: 9, 11: 7, 9:11, 7:11 and 11: 7 for Perry.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 24 players each. The eight best players were seeded and received a bye in the first round. Per Wildcard received Charlie Johnson and Danielle Letourneau each a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 118,000 for the men and $ 88,000 for the women.
