Pan American Games 2011 / Diving

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

At the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara , Mexico eight competitions were from 26 to 29 October 2011 Diving held, four each for men and women.

The Mexican athletes dominated the competitions and won all eight competitions. They also won the maximum possible number of twelve medals. In total, athletes from six nations won medals. The Canadian and US athletes who dominated the diving competitions at the previous Pan American Games could not convince. In all four individual disciplines, the respective winners were able to win quota places for the 2012 Olympic Games in London . However, since all the victorious athletes had already qualified at the World Cup, no quota places were ultimately awarded.

Attendees

A total of 60 divers took part in the competitions, 28 women and 32 men. Ten different nations were represented.
