Patrick Sieloff (born May 15, 1994 in Ann Arbor , Michigan ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League since December 2019 and also for their farm team, the Syracuse Crunch , in the American Hockey League is used.
Career
Sieloff played during his junior years between 2010 and 2012 for the US National Team Development Program of the US Ice Hockey Association USA Hockey in the United States Hockey League . After the selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames , the defender was initially drawn to the Ontario Hockey League with the Windsor Spitfires for a year .
On July 19, 2013, Sieloff signed a three-year entry contract with the Calgary Flames . He subsequently played exclusively for the Flames' farm team in the American Hockey League . In April 2016 he made his debut for the Flames in the NHL and scored his first goal in the top division in North America. After the end of the 2015/16 season, he was given in exchange for Alex Chiasson to the Ottawa Senators . In the franchise of the Canadian capital city club, the defender came in the following three seasons up to February 2019 - with the exception of an NHL game for Ottawa - exclusively for their farm teams, the Binghamton Senators and Belleville Senators . He was then transferred to the Anaheim Ducks shortly before the trade deadline in exchange for Brian Gibbons . There he was henceforth in the squad of the AHL cooperation partner, the San Diego Gulls .
In December 2019, the Ducks gave it to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Chris Mueller , where it will also be used by the AHL farm team, the Syracuse Crunch .
International
Sieloff won both the U18 Junior World Championship 2012 and the U20 Junior World Championship 2013 with the US national team .
