Pawel Alexandrowitsch Brutt ( Russian Павел Александрович Брутт ; born January 29, 1982 in Sosnowy Bor ) is a Russian cyclist .
Athletic career
Gross began his career in 2001 with the Russian cycling team Itera . In his first year he won a stage at the Circuito Montañés . In 2003 he switched to Lokomotiv , where he again won a section at the Circuito Montañés in 2004. Between 2006 and 2008, Brutt was under contract with the Russian professional Continental Team Tinkoff Credit Systems . In his first season there he secured the overall ranking of the Tour of Greece . In 2007 he won a stage of the Tour de Langkawi and finished seventh overall. A year later he celebrated his greatest success to date by winning the 5th stage of the Giro d'Italia .
From 2009 to 2014, Brutt was under contract with Katusha , then for two years with Tinkoff . In 2009 he won the Tour de Vendée , in 2011 he won the Classica Sarda and was the Russian road racing champion. In 2016 he became the Russian runner-up in the individual time trial . In 2017 Brutt moved to the Gazprom-RusVelo team .
