Pacific Bishops' Conference
The Pacific Conference Bishop (CEPAC, latin Conferentia Episcopalis Pacifici ) is a group of the Roman Catholic bishops several island states in Oceania . The Bishops 'Conference is a member of the Federation of Catholic Bishops' Conferences in Oceania (FCBCO).
It includes the diocesan bishops and local ordinarii in American Samoa , Cook Islands , Fiji , French Polynesia , Guam , Kiribati , Marshall Islands , Micronesia , New Caledonia , Northern Mariana Islands , Samoa , Tonga , Tuvalu , Vanuatu and Wallis and Futuna .
In Australia and Oceania there are only a few national bishops' conferences ( Australian Bishops' Conference , New Zealand Bishops' Conference and Bishops' Conference of East Timor ) as well as the binational Bishops' Conference of Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands . In contrast, the church structures for the smaller island states are supranational. On March 26, 1986, the Pacific Bishops' Conference was established.
The chairman is Paul Donoghue , Bishop of Rarotonga / Cook Islands .
