Pechhütte (Polish: Smolarnia ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Pechhütte is located in the municipality of Klein Strehlitz ( Strzeleczki ) in the Krapkowicki powiat (Krappitz district) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Pechhütte is located seven kilometers west of the township seat Klein Strehlitz , 14 kilometers west of the district town Krapkowice (Krappitz) and 23 kilometers southwest of the voivodeship capital Opole .

history

Pechhütte was founded in the 17th century. Initially, Pechhütte was part of the village of Sedschütz . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Neustadt OS .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Smolarnia and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to Powiat Krapkowicki . On May 17, 2006, German was introduced as the second official language in the community of Klein Strehlitz, which Pechhütte belongs to. On November 24, 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Pechhütte .
