Pentagón Jr. (born February 26, 1985 in Mexico City , Mexico ) is a Mexican Luchador or wrestler . The secrecy of the birth name is also part of the Lucha Libre tradition . He currently competes in the Mexican Liga Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and in the US League All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He is also known as Penta El Zero M in various independent leagues .

Pentagón Jr. is a two-time Lucha Underground Champion and a simple Impact World Champion as well as a three-time AAA World Tag Team Champion and a simple Impact Tag Team Champion .

Wrestling career

Beginnings in Mexico

Pentagón began wrestling training together with his younger brother Fénix in Mexico in 2007. At that time, their brother Icaro was already active as a wrestler. However, this never managed to gain national fame. Even their father was known as a wrestler under the name Fuego . In its early days, Pentagón appeared in various Mexican independent promotions under the name Zairus .

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (since 2010)

Pentagón achieved national recognition in Mexico with its appearances for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide . He played his first dark match on September 5, 2010, still under the name Zairus. He used the name Dark Dragon on his first appearance on television . Here he joined the stable La Milicia with his debut on January 27, 2011 and lost together with Tito Santana and Tigre Cota against his brother Fénix, El Gato and Atomic Boy. In December 2012, he made his first as Pentagon Jr. on. He received his first AAA title on April 19, 2014 when he and Sexy Star won the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship . They held the title until February 19, 2016. In November 2014, Pentagón became a member of the Stables Los Perros del Mal . Together with Joe Lider, who was also a member of this stable, he received the AAA World Tag Team Championship from Angélico and Jack Evans ( Los Güeros del Cielo ) for the first time on December 7, 2014 . Since 2015 Pentagón has appeared in various independent leagues in the United States and Europe. He first performed in the UK on July 11, 2015 . On August 28, 2015, he made his debut for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla . He made his Combat Zone Wrestling debut on April 1, 2017. For Westside Xtreme Wrestling , he first appeared on May 13, 2017 in Germany . On January 11, 2018, he played his first match for major league wrestling . Since 2017 he appears in various independent leagues alternatively as Penta El Zero M on.

Impact Wrestling (2018-2019)

On April 6, 2018, Pentagón made his debut for impact wrestling . Here he appeared as Pentagón Jr. On April 22, 2018 at Redemption he won the Impact World Championship from Austin Aries . His brother Fénix was also involved in this match. In Impact Wrestling he lost the title to Austin Aries on April 24, 2018. Together with Fénix he received the Impact Tag Team Championship on January 12, 2019 with a victory over Santana and Ortiz ( Latin American Exchange ). To this they lost the title again on April 28, 2019 in Rebellion . In May 2019 Pentagón left Impact Wrestling again.

All Elite Wrestling (since 2019)

At Double or Nothing , the first event of the newly founded Promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Pentagón made his AEW debut on May 25, 2019 with a loss in a match for the AAA World Tag Team Championship with his brother Rey Fenix ​​against The Young Bucks. At Dynamite on October 30, 2019, Pentagón and Rey Fenix ​​lost in the first match for the newly introduced AEW World Tag Team Championship against Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky (SoCal Uncensored).
