The Pervaya Gruppa A 1968 was the 30th season of the highest Soviet football league. It began on April 6th and ended on November 17th, 1968.

Defending champions Dynamo Kiev won the Soviet football championship for the fourth time, five points ahead of Spartak Moscow.
