Pestschanoje ( Russian Песчаное , German Dorotheenhof ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad in the urban district Swetly .

Geographical location

Pechanoje is 16 kilometers west of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and 12 kilometers northeast of the city of Swetly (Zimmerbude) on a side road, the Wessjolowka (Bärwalde) on the municipal road 27K-184 in an east-west direction with Bobrowo (Elenskrug) on the Regional road 27A-016 (ex A193 ) connects. The next train station is the "Op 18 km" stop (former Lindenau station ) on the Kaliningrad – Baltijsk (Königsberg – Pillau) line , the former East Prussian Southern Railway .

history

The village, called Dorotheenhof until 1950 , was a manor village belonging to the Kondehnen manor district (Russian: Slavyanskoje, no longer existing) before 1907 . On 18 April 1907 an independent Gutsbezirk was formed from the estate village Dorotheenhof that the District Kondehnen (from 1931: "District United Blumenau " (Kremnjowo)) in the district Fischhausen (1939-1945 district Samland ) in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged . In 1910 Dorotheenhof had 91 inhabitants.

On September 30, 1928, Dorotheenhof lost its independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Lindenau (which no longer exists today).

Dorotheenhof came to the Soviet Union in 1945 as a result of the war with northern East Prussia . In 1950 the place was renamed Axjonowo and at the same time assigned to the village soviet Logwinski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion . In 1963 Axjonowo got into the Volotschajewski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . After the place was no longer listed in the meantime, it was included again in 1997 as Pechanoje in the urban district of Swetly .

With its almost exclusively Protestant population, Dorotheenhof was parish in the Medenau Church (today in Russian: Logwino ) before 1945 . It belonged to the parish of Fischhausen ( Primorsk ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Pestschanoje is in the catchment area of the newly established Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Swetly (Zimmerbude) , a branch congregation of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
