Schipowka ( Russian Шиповка , German  Bahnhof Powayen ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad in the urban district Swetly .

Geographical location

Schipowka is nine kilometers by road northeast of the city of Svetly on the Kaliningrad – Baltiysk railway line (Koenigsberg – Pillau) and has a railway station that has existed since 1865 and is 22 kilometers from Kaliningrad and 25 kilometers from Baltiysk. From the south-west, the municipal road 27K-296 reaches the place from the regional road 27A-016 (ex A193 , junction at Bobrowo , local office Elenskrug) and from the north the municipal road 27K-185 via Tscherepanowo ((noble) Powayen) .

history

Powayen station was only a residential area until 1945, which until 1928 belonged to Gutsdorf (noble family) Powayen (today in Russian: Tscherepanowo), then to the rural community of Groß Blumenau (today in Russian: Kremnjowo). Between 1874 and 1945 Powayen belonged to the Kondehnen district (Russian: Slawjanskoje, no longer existent), from 1931 to the Groß Blumenau district in the Fischhausen district - from 1939 to 1945 Samland district - in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the war, Powayen came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . The former residential area at Powayen station was replaced by (noble) Powayen or Groß Blumenau and in 1947 was given the Russian name "Schipowka". At the same time, the place was assigned to the village Soviet Logwinski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion . Presumably in 1963 he ended up in the Pereslavski selski Sowet and in the mid-1970s then in the Wolotschajewski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Schipowka has been part of the Swetly district since 1994 .

church

Most of the residents in the Powayen station residential area were of Protestant denomination before 1945 . The place was in the parish of the church in Medenau (today Russian: Logwino ), which belonged to the parish of Fischhausen (Primorsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Schipowka is located in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Swetly (Zimmerbude) , a branch of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
