Peter Flache (born March 4, 1982 in York , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player with German nationality who has been under contract with EV Regensburg in the Oberliga Süd since May 2015 .

Career

The 1.96 m tall center played for the Guelph Storm in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League when he was selected in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft as 262nd in the ninth round of the Chicago Blackhawks . However, the left-handed shooter never completed an NHL game for the Blackhawks and moved to the Greenville Grrrowl in the lower class East Coast Hockey League after two more OHL stations . Other Flaches employers in the minor league were the Toledo Storm , the Gwinnett Gladiators and the Dayton Bombers in the following years , and in 2006 the striker also played for the St. Francis Xavier University team in the Canadian college sports association CIS for one season .

During the 2007/08 season , Flache moved from the Dayton Bombers to the Eisbären Regensburg in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga . Because of the performances shown there, the Canadian received a trial contract with Adler Mannheim before the start of the 2008/09 DEL season , which was extended to the end of the season after twelve appearances in the highest German professional league. After the season, the center moved to league rivals Straubing Tigers , where he also initially received a try-out contract.

In August 2009 the Straubing Tigers announced that Flache would be awarded a contract for the 2009/10 season . The center played one season in Straubing, and during the season the club announced in February 2010 that the contract had been terminated with immediate effect by mutual agreement. The German-Canadian returned to North America to play in the IHL at the Port Huron Icehawks . He stayed there until the end of the 2009/10 season before moving to the Augsburg Panthers in the German Ice Hockey League . 2013 Flache returned to his former club, the Straubing Tigers , where his contract was terminated in November 2014 without giving any reason. In mid-December 2014, the left-handed shooter received a contract with EC Kassel Huskies from the DEL2 .

Flache has been under contract with EV Regensburg since May 2015 .

Flat twin brother Paul was also a professional ice hockey player and most recently worked as a coach in the Canadian junior division.
