In June 2011 79 people lived in Petersholz. Petersholz used to belong to the Arsbeck district. The place in a quiet location is characterized by agriculture and vegetable growing and is partially surrounded by forest. An industrial park with numerous companies opens up on the edge of the forest. Also located in the forest is a housing estate belonging to the British Armed Forces with 30 single houses, 40 semi-detached houses and 338 row houses, some of which are already uninhabited. A further use of the housing estate is still unclear. A wind farm with five wind turbines is also in view of the place .
