Piotr Szalsza

Piotr Szalsza (born May 26, 1944 in Bytom ) is a Polish musician, author, director and producer.

Life

Piotr Szalsza graduated from the Katowice Music Academy in 1967 in the viola instrumental class . From 1965 to 1966 he was violist in the symphony orchestra of Polish radio and television in Krakow. From 1966 to 1982 he headed the music, culture and entertainment editorial team in the national studios of Polish television in Katowice and Gdansk ; he regularly produced articles in this area and worked closely with the main editorial offices as a manager, director, picture director, journalist and screenwriter for music and entertainment in Warsaw together.

Szalsza has lived in Vienna since 1983 - after political persecution in communist Poland - where he works as a writer and director for ORF , 3sat , NHK , ZDF , ARTE , RTR , TVP and for various private film production companies (including Satel, Televisfilm, PreTv) is.

He was also the organizer of musicological symposia and other events.

Act

Piotr Szalsza has been writing music publications and translating plays since 1963 (over 20 titles so far). He is the author and editor of several books as well as the author of over 200 television scripts. As a director, he was responsible for more than 40 documentary and music films and numerous image directors in the musical field (symphonic concerts, chamber music , opera concerts, jazz concerts , organ concerts, musical impressions, folklore ). Since 1980 he has directed at various theaters and opera houses, including theaters in Poland, Austria, Israel and Russia.
