Plastic Head Distribution (PHD) is a UK distributor best known in metal , hard rock and punk . He has been one of the ten largest wholesalers in the UK for several years .
History of origin
Plastic Head Distribution was founded in 1990 by Steve Beatty, who started the label from what was then a nursery. Today the sales department has more than 40 employees and offers articles from different areas. The product range includes all types of sound and image carriers from more than 170 labels and merchandising products from various bands from different areas, with a focus on metal and hard rock. In addition to wholesaling, the label also established its own mail order business aimed at private customers. The label is based in Wallingford , Oxfordshire .
In 2010 the company expanded into the US market and opened an office in Philadelphia with Candlelight Records .
