The Poker Hall of Fame , or PHoF for short , is a hall of fame for well-known poker players that was founded in 1979 by Binion's Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas and currently has 58 members. With two exceptions, Edmond Hoyle and Bill Hickok , this list only includes players from the 20th and 21st centuries.
criteria
Four conditions were set for admission to the Poker Hall of Fame :
The player must
- be at least 40 years old
- have played against recognized competitors
- have played for high stakes
- played at a consistently high level and won the respect of the opponents
- have proven themselves over a long period of time
Members
The year after the name indicates the date of admission into the Poker Hall of Fame.
