Pullela Gopichand ( telugu పుల్లెల గోపీచంద్ ; born November 16, 1973 in Nagandla , Prakasam , Andhra Pradesh ) is an Indian badminton player .

Career

Pullela Gopichand won his first title at the Indian Junior Individual Championships in 1991. In 1996 he won the Indian individual championships for adults for the first time. At the German Open of the 1998/1999 season he was in the final. 5th place jumped out for him at the 2001 World Cup. In the same year he surprisingly won the All England .
