Xia Xuanze
Xia Xuanze ( Chinese 夏煊泽 , Pinyin Xià Xuānzé ; born January 5, 1979 in Zhejiang ) is a Chinese badminton player .
Career
Xia Xuanze took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . In the first round of the singles tournament, he received a bye. In the second round he beat the Japanese Keita Masuda . Xia Xuanze defeated Svetoslav Stoyanov in the round of 16 and Wong Choong Hann from Malaysia in the quarter-finals . Only in the semifinals he suffered a defeat against Hendrawan with 12:15 and 4:15. In the game for third place, he met the Dane Peter Gade . Xia Xuanze won the game by 15:13 and 15: 5, taking the bronze medal.
2003 won Xia Xuanze the individual tournament in Birmingham discharged World Cup . He also won the 2006 Thomas Cup with the Chinese team.
