history

The village, which was founded in the course of the colonization of the Politzer Sprengels by the Břevnov monastery, probably in the 1230s, was first mentioned in a document in 1406. It is believed that the colonists came from Provodov or the area around Poděbrady . Radešov then belonged to the Braunau monastery for centuries and was under the Politz provost's office . During the Seven Years' War , the main forces of the Prussian army pitched their camp between Radešov, Bezděkov and Nízká Srbská for three days on August 5, 1758 ; During this time, King Friedrich II was quartered in Estate No. 7. After the abolition of the Politz Propstei by Emperor Joseph II in 1775, the Politz monastery was formed from it; on condition that an annual lump sum was paid from the income to the religious fund, it remained in the possession of the Braunau- Breunau double abbey .

In 1836 the village Radesch or Radessow , located in the Königgrätzer Kreis , consisted of 20 houses in which 127 Czech-speaking people lived. After Radesch was enrolled, the single mill upper Mezehoř. The parish was Politz. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subject to the Politz monastery.

After the abolition of patrimonial Radešov formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Bezděkov nad Metují in the judicial district of Politz . In 1868 Radešov was assigned to the Braunau district . In the 1920s, Radešov broke away from Bezděkov nad Metují and formed its own community. After the Munich Agreement, Radešov remained with the "remaining Czech Republic" and was assigned to the Okres Náchod. After the end of the Second World War, Radešov came back to Okres Broumov. In 1950 it was incorporated into Police nad Metují. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 the Okres Broumov was abolished, since then Radešov has belonged to the Okres Náchod. In 1991 Radešov had 60 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 25 houses in which 65 people lived.
