Rafael Rullán Ribera (born January 8, 1952 in Palma ) is a former Spanish basketball player . He spent most of his career at Real Madrid and is one of the most successful Spanish basketball players of all time with eight international and 24 national titles.

career

Rafael Rullán joined the youth of Spanish record champions Real Madrid in 1967 . On June 2, 1969, the then only 17-year-old center celebrated his professional debut in the final of the Copa del Rey against Joventut de Badalona , the game was lost 81:82. In his first full season in the professional squad, he was able to conquer the double from league and cup with his team . Initially in the shadow of the Star Center Clifford Luyk , he quickly developed into an important pillar in the team trained by Pedro Ferrándiz .
