The Rajon Krasnoperekopsk (Ukrainian Красноперекопський район / Krasnoperekopskyj rayon - Ukrainian officially since May 12, 2016 Rajon Perekop район / Перекопський; Russian Красноперекопский район / Krasnoperekopski rayon , Crimean Orkapi rayoni ) is a Ukrainian Rajon in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea . It has a total population of around 31,000 and covers an area of 1,231 km². It includes 38 villages organized into 12 district councils.
geography
The Raion is located in the north of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, it is bordered on the northwest by the city Armjansk , to the north by Syvash with the behind in the Kherson Oblast lying Rajonen Kalantschak , Chaplynka and Nowotrojizke , on the east by the dzhankoy raion , on the south by the Pervomajske district , to the southwest by the Rosdolne district and to the west by the Black Sea . In the west, the eponymous city of Krasnoperekopsk is enclosed, but this is not itself part of it.
