The Rajon Krasnohvardiiske (Ukrainian Красногвардійський район / Krasnohwardijskyj rayon - Ukrainian officially since May 12, 2016 Rajon Kurman район / Курманський; Russian Красногвардейский район / Krasnogwardeiski rayon , Crimean Qurman rayoni ) is a Ukrainian Rajon in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea . It has a total population of around 93,000 and covers an area of 1,766 km². It includes two urban-type settlements, 82 villages and 1 settlement, which are organized into 18 district councils.

Located in the heart of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, it borders on Dzhankoy Raion to the north, Nyschnjohirskyj Raion to the east, Bilohirsk Raion to the southeast , Simferopol Raion to the southwest , Saky Raion to the west, and to the northwest the Rajon Pervomaiske .
