Ramon ( Russian Рамонь ) is an urban-type settlement in Voronezh Oblast , Russia , with 8,354 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

history

The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1615. In 1938 the status of an urban-type settlement was given. Ramon's most famous attraction is the 19th century palace built for Princess Evgenia Romanovskaya (daughter of Maximilian de Beauharnais (Romanowski), 3rd Duke of Leuchtenberg ) and her husband Alexander von Oldenburg .
