Panino ( Russian Па́нино ) is an urban-type settlement in the Voronezh Oblast in Russia with 6,672 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The village is 60 km away in a straight line to the east of Oblastverwaltungszentrums Voronezh in the steppe region between the left Don -Nebenflüssen Voronezh and Bityug River .

Panino is the administrative center of the Rajons Paninski and seat of the municipality Paninskoje gorodskoje posselenije, (7 km north) (4 km north-east) are among the also the village Kalmytschek (5 km northwest) and the settlements Chawenka and Otrada.

history

The place was founded in 1890 and named after the then local landowner, Countess Panina.

In 1928 Panino became the administrative seat of a newly created Rajon named after him. In 1968 the place received the status of an urban-type settlement.

The Tulinowo railway station is located in Panino on the branch line from Grafskaja (in Krasnolesny in the extreme north of the Voronezh district ) to Anna, which was opened in 1897 .

The regional road 20K-W41 runs through the settlement, which branches off about 30 km southwest of the federal highway R298 Kursk  - Voronezh - Borissoglebsk and continues in a north-easterly direction to Ertil . There is a connection to the north via the 20K-W19 and to the west via the 20K-1-21 to the federal trunk road R193 from Voronezh to Tambov, 12 and 15 km away .
