Reichelshofen is a district of the municipality of Steinsfeld in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia . The place is known beyond the immediate area for the Landwehr-Bräu founded in 1841 .

geography

The Stubachsgraben, which is a left tributary of the Fischbach, flows through the church village . Approx. 0.75 km west of the village are the forest areas Großespen and Kleinespen. The state road in 2419 leads to Steinfeld (2 km south) or to Gumpelshofen over after top Check Bach (2.5 km north). The St 2416 leads to Adelshofen (2.7 km to the west) or to Endsee (2 km to the east). A community connecting road leads to Gypshütte (1.1 km southeast).

history

In November 1688, 13 buildings were destroyed in the so-called French murderous fire, causing damage of over 5331 guilders.

In 1800 there were seven households in the place, all of which were subject to the imperial city of Rothenburg . With the community edict (early 19th century) Reichelshofen was assigned to the tax district Steinach and the rural community of Steinsfeld.
