The Resch Center is a multi-purpose hall in Ashwaubenon , a suburb of Green Bay in the US state of Wisconsin . It was opened on 24 August 2002 at a cost of 45 million US dollars .

history

The Resch Center was built next to the old 1958 Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena . Depending on the type of event, it has a capacity of up to 10,500 spectators. It is just a few hundred yards from Lambeau Field , home to the Green Bay Packers NFL team . It was replaced by the Resch Center. The USHL ice hockey team of the Green Bay Gamblers is currently using the facility. The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay NCAA men's basketball team , Green Bay Phoenix , has been based in the arena since 2002. The Green Bay Blizzard ( IFL ) arena football team has played their games in the Resch Center since 2003 .

The first event in the Resch Center were concerts by the alternative metal bands Tool and Tomahawk on September 2, 2002.
