Rhünda is one of 16 districts of the small town Felsberg in the north Hessian Schwalm-Eder district .
Geographical location
Rhünda is located on the Rhünda , which flows into the Schwalm a little northwest of the village . The state road 3427, which meets the federal road 253 west of the village, leads past the village below the Rhünder Berg ( 338.5 m above sea level ) .
history
Evidently, through the discovery of the Rhünda skull , the area around Rhünda has been inhabited since the Ice Age , i.e. around 12,000 years ago.
Rhünda was first mentioned in a document in 1209. Around 1250, the place was named in a directory of the Eppenberg choir women as dormant . From 1356 to 1392 the von Felsberg owned the place. In 1392 they sold it to the Hessian landgraves . The patronage of the donated church was retained by the von Felsbergs. From 1397 the place was called Ronde. Rhünda belonged to the Felsberg office . In 1579 the place was mentioned in a Salbuch of the Felsberg district as Rhuende. In 1585 there were 26 households in Rhünda.
On 1 January 1974, the municipality Rhünda the course was municipal reform in Hesse powerful state law with the communities Brunslar Gensungen , helmet Hausen and Hilgershausen and the City Felsberg to advanced city Felsberg together . For Rhünda, as for all of the formerly independent municipalities incorporated into Felsberg, a local district was set up.

In 1356 Eckhard von Felsberg donated a chapel . The Markuskirche is a medieval building with a choir from the year it was built. In 1585 Rhünda was a branch of Gensungen and from 1692 of Harle . Today's half-timbered tower was built in 1695 . Even today Rhünda belongs to the parish of Harle.
