The Prezero-Arena ( proper spelling PreZero Arena ), originally and in parlance often Rhein-Neckar-Arena , is a football stadium in Sinsheim, Baden-Württemberg . Since its completion in early 2009, the facility has been the home ground of the Bundesliga soccer club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . However, it is not in the Sinsheim district of Hoffenheim , but in the district of the core town of Sinsheim. The stadium offers 30,150 seats (23,400 of which are seats and 6,750 standing). The home stand is the south stand. On January 24, 2009, the Rhein-Neckar-Arena was opened with an opening ceremony and a game between TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and a selection from the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region . On January 31, 2009 TSG Hoffenheim played their first Bundesliga game against Energie Cottbus in the new stadium and won 2-0 at the start.
construction
The stadium was against the Technik Museum Sinsheim next to the new highway exit Sinsheim-South of Highway 6 built within 22 months. The general planners agn Niederberghaus & Partner from Ibbenbüren planned and supported it . The groundbreaking ceremony took place on May 25, 2007 after the construction at the originally planned location in Heidelberg or Eppelheim failed in the summer of 2006 due to a dispute with the city of Heidelberg over the environmental pollution of the stadium and the expansion plans for the Wild Works . Their plans have since been rejected.
Traffic connection
The S-Bahn -Haltepunkt Sinsheim Museum / Arena at the neckargemünd-bad friedrichshall-jagstfeld railway is little more than a kilometer away on foot, and there is shuttle buses from Sinsheim Central Station. By car the stadium via the newly built junction is Sinsheim-South of the motorway 6 achievable.
capacity
The pure football stadium has 30,150 covered seats, 6,750 of which are standing. The standing room can be converted into seats for international games, reducing the capacity by around 4,500 seats. There are also 1,364 business seats and 40 business boxes for ten or more people, all of which are located in the west stand. In addition, there are 2,500 parking spaces for spectators and another 2,500 parking spaces for TV teams, business customers, coaches, etc.

The stadium was financed by the sports patron Dietmar Hopp , who is closely associated with TSG Hoffenheim and who also financed the Dietmar Hopp Stadium in Hoffenheim , which was built in 1999 , as well as various companies from the region.
The owner of the stadium and the training and business center in Zuzenhausen is TSG 1899 Hoffenheim Fußball -besitzgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DH-Holding Verwaltungs GmbH, which operated as the management company of Golf Club St. Leon-Rot mbH until 2012 .
Surname
In July 2011, the sponsorship rights to the arena were sold to a company based on the edge of the Rhine-Neckar region, Wirsol Solar AG in Waghäusel . In the following years the stadium was called WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena . In January 2019 to became Schwarz group counting Disposal Services PreZero name sponsor. Since then, the venue has been called PreZero Arena .

Soccer
The stadium is used for the home games of the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim first team . Furthermore, the Rhein-Neckar-Arena was one of the nine venues for the 2011 Women's World Cup in Germany. In Sinsheim three preliminary round games and the game for third place were played.
The first international match in the arena took place on July 25, 2009, when the German women's national team faced the Netherlands in a preparatory match for the 2009 European Championship . The German team won the game 6-0.
On August 2, 2009, the sixth-class association division SpVgg Neckarelz played in the first round of the DFB Cup against FC Bayern Munich (1: 3) in front of a sold out house in the Rhein-Neckar-Arena. The club from the Mosbach district about 20 kilometers away had moved to Sinsheim due to the low capacity of the local Elzstadion.
Games of the German national soccer team
The first men's international match in the Rhein-Neckar-Arena took place on May 29, 2011 against Uruguay . In front of sold-out stands it ended with a 2-1 victory for the German national team . On September 9, 2018, the second men's international match took place in the arena: Germany received Peru .

Football Women's World Cup 2011

U-19 European Football Championship 2016
The finals of the 32nd U-19 European Football Championship took place in Germany from July 11 to 24, 2016. A total of eight teams took part. It was played in ten different stadiums in nine cities in Baden-Württemberg. The only game that was played in Sinsheim was the final of the tournament, which France with the superstar Kylian Mbappé could clearly win 4-0 against Italy. The final was completely sold out with 25,100 spectators.

DEL Winter Game 2017
The third DEL Winter Game took place on January 7, 2017 in Sinsheim. In the Rhein-Neckar-Arena , the home ground of the Bundesliga soccer club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , the Baden-Württemberg derby took place between the Schwenninger Wild Wings and the Adler Mannheim .
Under the motto “the good old hockey game”, the ice surface was embedded in a lake landscape with wooden boats on jetties and retro advertising boards. The renovation of the football stadium is said to have cost more than half a million euros.
With minus four degrees and snowfall, the Adler Mannheim won the game 7: 3 (1: 1.3: 2.3: 0) in front of 25,022 spectators and moved up to third place in the table.
