Riccardo Greco

Riccardo Greco (born November 15, 1987 in Hachenburg ) is a German musical actor .

Life

Riccardo Greco was born in 1987 in Hachenburg in the Westerwald. He began taking singing , dance and acting lessons as a child . In his school days he sang in a rock band , a choir and was the lead singer of a big band . At the age of 12 he became a member of a musical club in the Westerwald. There he appeared in plays such as Grease , Fame and Miss Saigon . At the age of 13 he completed basic training as a musical performer at the Rhineland-Palatinate Academy for Music, Dance and Theater in Mendig .

In 2002 Greco toured Paris, Brussels, London and Ireland as a soloist with a musical gala. At the age of 15 he began his training as a musical performer at the Stage & Musicalschool Frankfurt am Main . After passing his intermediate stage exam, he got a training position at the Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg . There he received a grant from Perrin Manzer Allen . Due to his first engagement in Mamma Mia! (“Ensemble”, cover “Sky”) it was possible for him to move his degree one year earlier.

In 2007 Greco was a finalist in the national singing competition . He also sang the final of the 57th FIFA World Cup Congress in Zurich's Hallenstadion. In 2008 he took part in the Sat.1 casting show Ich Tarzan. You Jane! where he made it to the top five for the first-time cast of Tarzan . In 2010 Greco played as soloist and cover Alfred in the musical Tanz der Vampire by Roman Polański in the Palladium Theater Stuttgart . In 2011/12 he was the first cast Kenickie and cover Danny on the Grease tour . He has been in Vienna since July 2012, initially as Swing Eddie Fritzinger, TJ and Erkan with Sister Act at the Ronacher . From 2012 to 2014 he played Maximilian von Mexico and cover Luigi Lucheni in the musical Elisabeth in the Raimund Theater . In 2014 he played the young Alfred Ill in the musical The Visit of the Old Lady at the Ronacher.

Since September 2014 he has been a member of the musical ensemble of the Landestheater Linz and has played a number of major roles, including the title roles in The Who's Tommy and Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Sam in the German-language premiere of Ghost - Message from Sam . From October 2018 to January 13, 2019 he will also play this role in the Operettenhaus in Hamburg and from November 2019 in the Palladium Theater in Stuttgart.

Greco participated in the second season of X Factor in 2011 .
