Roger Cericius (* 1. September 1970 in Hannover ) is a German former singer , journalist and moderator and organizer of cultural and choral music projects and managing director of Innovations - and think tank Futur X .

Life

Roger Cericius was a member of the Hanover Boys Choir in his youth . As a soloist and boy soprano he received international attention, for example with the performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's church cantata Du Friedefürst, Herr Jesu Christ under the conductor Gustav Leonhardt ; The recording resulted from the collaboration between Leonhardt and the conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt and was distributed among other things in a compilation by Teldec Schallplatten GmbH from 1971 to 1987 under the title “Boy Soprano / Voices of Angels”.

Cericius, for example, has performed with Paul Hillier and the Hilliard Ensemble . Similar to Sebastian Hennig , Cericius also appeared in the Hanover Opera House in the boys' trio from Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte .

Roger Cericius was one of the founding members of the Hannover Harmonists .

After graduating from school, Roger Cericius studied social sciences.

After first activities as a reporter and presenter at the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), Cericius worked as a culture editor at the NDR in Hamburg , before he finally worked as a public relations officer at the NDR Landesfunkhaus Niedersachsen .

In 2001 Cericius organized the International A cappella week in Hanover for the first time . With the agency he founded CESA event management managed Roger Cericius various events such as the first North German audio book - and radio play - Festival "eavesdropping".

Cericius, long-time network manager at VGH Insurance and managing director of the Herrenhausen-Verwaltungsgesellschaft subsidiary , was a member of the board of directors in the Freundeskreis Hannover for 15 years , 11 years of which as its first chairman. At the end of 2017, Cericius took over the management of the former company VGH GmbH , which at the same time was renamed Futur X GmbH , a 100 percent subsidiary of the Landschaftliche Brandkasse Hannover , a promoter of innovations in the VGH group of companies . The company headed by Cericius and based at Schiffgraben 4 is also a corporate partner in the Hafven Smart City Hub .

Since January 1, 2020, Roger Cericius has been an appointed member of the 26th regional synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover for the field of culture and communication .

Roger Cericius is married, has one son and lives in Springe .
