Rohrbeck is a district of the municipality Niedergörsdorf in the district of Teltow-Fläming in the state of Brandenburg .

location

Rohrbeck is three kilometers south of Jüterbog and three kilometers east of Niedergörsdorf . The Nuthe flows through the village . The neighboring towns are Jüterbog, Bochow , Oehna and Dennewitz . The place is characterized by agriculture, in 1953 an LPG was founded, which was merged with the LPG in Bochow in 1975.

history

Rohrbeck and in the area around Rohrbeck settled since the Neolithic (5000 to 4000 BC) people. A late Germanic burial ground from the 5th century AD was also found. North of Rohrbeck, a village named Ruthewitz is mentioned in 1161 and 1174. After 1183, "Ruthewitz" fell in desolation. In the 13th century the place was re-founded, the first mentioning was in 1325 or 1339, the name was "rorbeke". Rohrbeck was part of the Jüterbog office until 1817 , and the Zinna office until 1872 . In 1992 the place came to the office Niedergörsdorf , since 1998 Rohrbeck is part of Niedergörsdorf.

Culture and sights

  • The Rohrbeck village church is a late Gothic stone church from the first quarter of the 14th century. The baroque tower tower was probably added at the beginning of the 16th century. In the interior there is a pulpit altar from the beginning of the 18th century.
  • Another monument is a memorial stone for the battle of Dennewitz from 1813. The inscription reads: Bloody started over there / it started and bloody / it ended here / Bülow's Dennerwitz victory. / Never forget it, / my people! / September 6, 1813.
