Ron Yerxa
Ron Yerxa (* 18th May 1947 as Ronald Paul Yerxa ) is an American film producer . He became internationally known for the production of the movies Election , On the Road to Cold Mountain , Little Miss Sunshine , Little Children and Nebraska .
life and career
The career of Ron Yerxa, born in 1947, is closely linked to the biography of film producer Albert Berger . Yerxa was a studio executive at CBS Theatrical in the 1980s when he met screenwriter Albert Berger, who graduated from Columbia University film school . At the end of the 1980s they founded the production company Bona Fide Productions . Since their first joint cinema production, King of the Marble Players, in 1993, Yerxa and Berger have produced around 20 films in cooperation. The producer duo has worked with director Alexander Payne twice . There were film awards for Payne's films. For Election starring Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon , the production team won the Independent Spirit Awards 2000 in the Best Picture category . For the cinema production Nebraska with Bruce Dern , Will Forte and June Squibb , Yerxa and Berger each received an Oscar nomination in the category Best Picture in 2014 .
