Ronil Kumar (sometimes also Roneel Kumar ; born November 29, 1984 in Fiji ) is a Fijian football player in the position of midfielder . He currently plays for Ba FC in the Fijian National Football League .

He is the brother of Salesh Kumar , who is also active as a Fijian national soccer player.

Career

Club career

Kumar's first known station after his training at DAV College was Ba FC in the province of Ba on the island of Viti Levu . In 2006 he scored one goal in the provincial capital of the same name and also celebrated some successes with the team. On the one hand, the team became champions of the Fijian National Football League in 2006 when they defeated Suva FC 2-1 in the final on August 6, 2006 and Kumar scored the second goal for his team, on the other hand, the team won the same year Fijian Inter-District Championship and the Fijian Battle of the Giants . The team also won the Fijian Football Cup for the twentieth time in the club's history, after beating Suva FC 3-0 .

After his successes in 2006, Kumar moved to New Zealand at the beginning of 2007 to join the lower class playing and formerly very successful club Waitakere City FC . He then moved that same year to Waitakere United , a club that played in the New Zealand Football Championship , the top division in New Zealand football. At Waitakere United he played with fellow countryman Roy Krishna , but also with games such as Commins Menapi , Benjamin Totori , Danny Hay and Neil Emblen .

In the 2007/08 season , Kumar was able to celebrate the championship title with the team one point behind Auckland City FC . Waitakere United ranked first in the Minor Premiership as well as in the League Championship . In the course of the league action, Ronil met his brother Salesh, who at that time was under contract as a player with the runners-up from Auckland . He also took the team at the OFC Champions League of 2007/08 season and won there in the final with a total score of 8: 1 on aggregate win against Kossa FC of the Solomon Islands .

After his short stint in Waitakere City , the central midfielder returned to his regular club in 2008 and has scored four goals in the league to date (March 28, 2010). Furthermore, he and the team were still champions of the Fijian NFL in the 2008 game year and could also celebrate the receipt of the Fijian football cup and victory in the "Battle of the Giants". After the team suffered a slight loss of form in the 2009 game and only ranked third in the league's final table, the victory in the Battle of the Giants '09 was a major success.

International

After serving for the U-17 national team of his home country in 2002 , Kumar joined Fiji's U-23 team in 2004. It was not until the following year that he was accepted into the U-20 national team and was also part of their squad, which competed in qualifying for the 2003 Junior World Cup . It was played in two groups (A and B); while Australia clearly dominated Group A, it was the Fijian junior selection in Group B that made it into the qualifying play-offs with a goal difference of 14-1. The first two of the group met in a direct duel to determine the participant in the Junior World Championship. The Australians clearly won with a total score of 15-0 from the first and second leg. Ronil Kumar scored one goal for his homeland throughout qualifying.

His A-national team debut in the 22-year-old during the South Pacific Games of 2007 . In the event's soccer tournament, the team from Fiji clearly dominated and won Group A with a total goal difference of 25: 1 from four games. Kumar made his debut on August 25 in a 16-0 victory over the Tuvaluan national soccer team , when he was on the field from the start and was replaced by lvin Avinesh from the 64th minute of the game . The big defeat of Tuvalu meant the second highest since their 18-0 defeat against Tahiti in the very first international game Tuvalu in 1979.

If you add up Kumar's appearances during the South Pacific game and the OFC Nations Cup 2008 , you get a total of eleven international matches, all of which served as qualifications for the 2010 World Cup . At the OFC Nations Cup 2008 he retired with the Fijian national football team in the group stage (second round) as third party.
