In 1307 this was given to the Neuss Quirinus pen. From 1323 to 1794 Rosellen belonged to the Electoral Cologne Office of Hülchrath , then French revolutionary troops occupied the place. Rosellen now belonged to the canton of Zons . In 1815 Rosellen came to the Kingdom of Prussia . In 1816 the municipality of Rosellen was formed with the villages of Rosellen, Allerheiligen, Elvekum , Gier, Kuckhof , Neuenbaum, Rosellerheide and Schlicherum. It belonged to the mayor's office in Norf and from 1927 to the office of Norf . On January 1, 1975, the community of Rosellen was incorporated into the city of Neuss.

Hermann von Alffter , bell founder from Alfter near Bonn in the 15th century , created a bell for the parish church in Rosellen in 1448.
