Rosolini is a town in the municipality consortium Syracuse outdoors in the region of Sicily in Italy with 21,122 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Rosolini is 50 kilometers southwest of Syracuse . The inhabitants work mainly in agriculture, animal husbandry and industry.

Rosolini is on the Canicattì – Syracuse railway line .

The neighboring municipalities are Ispica ( RG ), Modica (RG), Noto and Ragusa (RG).

history

The place already existed in Roman and Byzantine times. In 1713 the place was re-established at its current location.
