The Ruta 34 is a national road in the South American Andean state of Bolivia . The road is not yet completely finished.
Routing
The road has a length of 190 kilometers and runs in the southeastern part of the Bolivian lowlands in the border area with Paraguay .
The Ruta 34 runs from north to south in the southeastern part of the Santa Cruz department . The road begins at the town of San José de Chiquitos as a junction of Ruta 4 and leads south through the largely uninhabited bush landscape of the Llanos de Chiquitos and the Kaa-Iya del Gran Chaco National Park . The road is to lead to the border with Paraguay at the settlement Palmar de las Islas , but currently ends about 75 km south of San José .
The Ruta 34 is not paved, it consists of gravel and dirt road along its entire length.

The road was declared with Ley 3218 of September 30, 2005 as part of the Bolivian national road network Red Vial Fundamental .
