Saginaw is a city in Tarrant County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is 17 km northwest of Fort Worth in the center of Tarrant County and has a total area of 19.4 km² without any significant water surface.

According to the census in 2000 , 12,374 people lived here in 4,229 households and 3,450 families. The population density was 637.0 inhabitants per km². The racial the population was composed of 87.64% White, 1.93% African American, 0.91% Native American, 1.24% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, and 6.09% other ethnic groups. About 2.19% were mixed race and 14.73% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
