Culture and sights

Sahrendorf still has five old half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries in its center. Two of these houses are former farms, one house is the former post and horse changing station, one house was the blacksmith's shop and another was used as a dwelling for the widows of the pastors who worked in Egestorf. The narrow floodplain flows through the middle of the village, but is commonly called simply floodplain.

Cultural highlights are the various equestrian events that take place on and around the tournament grounds, such as the autumn fox hunt , which starts from Sudermühlen (former watermill - now a restaurant and hotel between Egestorf and Sahrendorf).

traffic

It is approx. 3 km to the A 7 motorway , which is in the east of the municipality. From Sahrendorf you can take various bus routes via Egestorf, Hanstedt and Salzhausen to Buchholz in the Nordheide , Lüneburg and Hamburg .
