The joint community of Neuenhaus is a joint community in the Grafschaft Bentheim district in Lower Saxony . Five municipalities have come together in it to carry out their administrative business. The administrative seat of the joint municipality is located in the city of Neuenhaus .

- Georgsdorf (1216 inhabitants)

- Neuenhaus , town (10,049 inhabitants)

Joint council
The council of the joint community of Neuenhaus consists of 30 councilors and councilors. This is the specified number for a municipality with a population between 12,001 and 15,000. The 30 council members are elected for five years each by local elections. The current term of office began on November 1, 2016 and ends on October 31, 2021.
The full-time Mayor of the Joint Community, Günter Oldekamp (non-party), is also entitled to vote in the Council of the Joint Community.
The last local election on September 11, 2016 resulted in the following:

Joint mayor of the municipality
The full-time mayor of the entire municipality is Günter Oldekamp (non-party). In the last mayoral election on May 25, 2014, Oldekamp, supported by the CDU, was elected with 51.8% of the vote. His opponent Friedrich Knoop (SPD) received 48.2%. The turnout was 57.2%. Oldekamp took office on November 1, 2014 and replaced the previous incumbent Johann Arends.
