Geographical location

Esche is located on the Vechte between Nordhorn and Emlichheim . The community belongs to the joint community of Neuenhaus , which has its administrative seat in the city ​​of Neuenhaus .

history

The farmers are first mentioned under their original name Aszi in a document from the year 1000. There you can also find information about the oldest settlement - Haus Esche , also called Oedinghof. Around 1411 the farmers came to the parish of Veldhausen .
