coat of arms

Blazon : "In gold a red, three-legged church flag with three rings, under the side bibs accompanied by two red acorns and covered with a gold, rounded bottom, the wall of which is decorated with beads and rows of balls."

Reason: The coat of arms of the local lords of Godelinchem from the 13th / 14th centuries. Century showed a church flag with three rings without a pole. The cup symbolizes a find from the Bronze Age that a farmer found while digging in 1840. The coat of arms designed by the heraldist Ulf-Dietrich Korn in 1991 combines the church flag from the coat of arms of the Lords of Godelinchem with the Gölenkamper gold cup. The two acorns stand for the districts of Haftenkamp and Hardinghausen. The colors red and gold are the coat of arms colors of the Counts and Princes of Bentheim. They show the affiliation of the community to the former county and to today's county of Bentheim.
