Santa Cruz is a district of Rio de Janeiro . Santa Cruz is the seat of the 19th administrative region of Rio, to which Paciência also belongs and is located about 60 km west of the city center of Rio de Janeiro.
Infrastructure
It is traversed by the SuperVia suburban train and has a varied landscape with rural, commercial, residential and industrial areas. The population consists mostly of middle and lower classes with low incomes. The port of nearby Itaguaí is economically important .
history
Santa Cruz is over 444 years old, grew out of a farm and founded in 1567.
