The Santa Eulalia district is located in the Huarochirí province of the Lima region in the central west of Peru . The district has an area of ​​111.12 km². At the 2017 census, there were 12,636 residents in the district. In 1993 the population was 6747, in 2007 it was 10,591. The district administration is located in the 1036  m high town of Santa Eulalia with 9941 inhabitants (as of 2017).

Geographical location

The Santa Eulalia district is located in the northwest of the Huarochirí Province. It is located on the western flank of the Peruvian Western Cordillera on the lower reaches of the Río Santa Eulalia , which flows through the district in a south-southwestern direction and flows into the Río Rímac on the southern district border .

The district of Santa Eulalia borders in the southwest with the district Lurigancho ( province Lima ), in the west and north with the San Antonio , in the east with the districts San Pedro de Casta , Callahuanca and San Mateo de Otao and in the southeast with the district Ricardo Palma .
