Schattenreich is a radio play series by Astrid Meirose and Volker Pruss . It combines elements of Gothic culture with those of Egyptian mythology, and " Goethe's Faust " is used several times .

action

After spending some time abroad, the cultural scientist Christian "Crissi" Wagner returns to his hometown in Germany. The reason for this is his childhood friend Sybille "Billi" Scholl, who was an inmate in a psychiatric hospital and died there in a fire. Shortly after the funeral, a series of mysterious murders take place, with the victims each time having an ankh tattooed on their heels. Christian's past catches up with him again: In his youth he belonged to one of Dr. Bruno Schwab led the group who described themselves as Titans and later Nephilim . The mythology of ancient Egypt , especially the death of Osiris , played a major role in the joint activities . Christian is certain that there must be a connection between the events of that time and the murders today. In his research he is drawn into a maelstrom of puzzles and mysterious events and only slowly comes to the conclusion that he plays a significant role in the whole.
