Schlierberg (colloquially: Schli a berch ) is a district of the municipality of Langfurth in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village lies on a high plateau, the so-called Buckfeld. The Schlierberg ( 531  m above sea level ) rises 0.5 km to the northwest . The Kesselbach flows south of the village and merges with the Grundbach to form the Langfurther Mühlbach, which is a left tributary of the Sulzach . In the west are the forest areas Große and Kleine Röt, in the east the forest area Ochsenschlag and in the southeast the Herrenwald. There is a gorge there , which is designated as a geotope and protected as a natural monument. A community road leads to Beyerberg to State Road 2248 (1.7 km east) or to Stöckau (2.1 km south-west).

history

From the history of the settlement and the structure of the land, it can be concluded that the place was most likely founded in the 12th century as a suburb of the Beyerberg estate . It is considered the ancestral home of the late Patrician Dinkelsbühler Schlierberger family. Schlierberg is mentioned by name for the first time perhaps in 1337, certainly in 1387. The place name refers to the Feuerletten (schlier = clay) that can be found there. Schlierberg lies on a curved, ascending stream valley, the Krampakehl, which played a role as a landmark in the description of the boundary between the Franconian Sualagau and the Alemannic Riesgau, as well as the border between the diocese of Augsburg and Eichstätt . In the description of 1595 it says "... and leave the Schlierberger Grund and Schlierberg, the hamlet, on the left ..."

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 10 properties and 1 community shepherd's house in Schlierberg. The high court exercised the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen , the village and community rulership was held by the Ansbach administration office Forndorf . The landlords were the Forndorf administration office (4 half yards, 2 estates), the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (St. Veit benefice: 1 Söldengut ; pricature maintenance : 1 yard) and the Ornbau caste office in Eichstätt (1 estate, 1 estate). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .

As part of the community edict, Schlierberg was assigned to the tax district and rural community of Oberkemmathen formed in 1809 (renamed to Langfurth on November 11, 1968).
