Schwaderloh is a hamlet in the former municipality of Neuwilen in the canton of Thurgau , Switzerland , which has belonged to the municipality of Kemmental since 1996 . The place is at 546 m above sea level. M. near the cities of Konstanz and Kreuzlingen .
At the bridge over the road to Tägerwilen over the autobahn is a boulder garden with around 30 boulders that were transported from far away (partly from Graubünden) from the glacier to the Seerücken during the last ice age and were exposed when the autobahn was built.
To the north of it, between the towns of Triboltingen and Tägerwilen , the battle in the Schwaderloh of the Swabian War was fought in 1499 , in which the Swiss Confederates achieved a decisive victory over the imperial party ( Swabia ) despite being numerically inferior . A festival is held every 50 years to commemorate the Battle of Schwaderloh.
