The episode list contains all episodes of the American youth series Shake It Up - Dancing is Everything , sorted by the US American premiere . Between 2010 and 2013, a total of 78 episodes were created in three seasons, each around 22 minutes in length. The series premiered on November 7, 2010 on the Disney Channel and the German-language premiere was on May 27, 2011 on the German branch of the Disney Channel.

season 1

The first broadcast of the first season was from November 7, 2010 to August 21, 2011 on the US station Disney Channel to see. The German-language first broadcast was on the pay-TV station Disney Channel from May 27 to October 22, 2011.

The two friends CeCe and Rocky love to dance and their dream is to appear on the local dance show Shake It Up, Chicago . So the two of them go to the casting, where Rocky makes it into the show through her performance while auditioning, while Cece gets stage fright and doesn't make it. The next morning, Rocky decided not to go to the show without her friend. CeCe then accompanies her friend to the show and finally persuades her to participate. Rocky then handcuffs himself to CeCe so that they both appear on the show. The host of the show, Gary Wilde, sees the two dancing and decides that they have that certain "something" and hires them for the show.

CeCe and Rocky get their first paycheck for working on the show. With this money they open their first bank accounts and the nice bank clerk pretends to be a friend of the two and showered them with free things. The two then go on a shopping tour and finally invite Ty and Deuce to a trusty restaurant. Once there, their accounts are already overdrawn, so they are forced to eat a 10-pound meatball within an hour in order not to have to pay for the food. Meanwhile, Gunther and Tinka take care of Flynn, who uses a trick to get them to do the housework. At the end, Gary rewards the show's dancers with a free meal, which makes CeCe and Rocky sick at the sight.

CeCe and Rocky decide at Shake It Up, Chicago to take part in the 24-hour charity dance marathon, so that CeCe can win a spotlight dance and donate money to Rocky for a retirement home to impress an elderly woman she hates. CeCe buys energy drinks to prepare for the marathon, but these are all drunk by Flynn. As a result, Flynn goes completely nuts, so that CeCe and Rocky have to keep him quiet all night. During the marathon they are therefore quite tired and get into conflict, because Ty, who is supposed to donate, notices that the girls don't stop dancing and it will be very expensive for him if he tries everything to get them to sleep, while Deuce tries everything to keep her awake, CeCe and Rocky are finally wearing his cousin's clothes. Finally CeCe and Rocky win the dance marathon and finally fall asleep with the spotlight dance, but Flynn steps in for them, who also falls asleep himself.

CeCes grades in math are so bad that she threatens to fail. Ty finds her a tutor who CeCe thinks is a boy from college but who turns out to be a little genius named Henry. Flynn then "spoils" Henry by starting video games with him. Rocky then takes over the tutoring of CeCe, and CeCe's secret that she is dyslexic comes out. Meanwhile, Gunther gets Ty to go on a date with Tinka because Gunther thinks she is lonely. Ultimately, Ty likes the date and they talk about dating again. Gunther bets Deuce who will be the stronger in arm wrestling. Deuce keeps losing, but keeps trying until he only has his underwear.

After Deuce invites Rocky to go with him on a double date, she brings CeCe to the cinema, which is much to the displeasure of Deuce and his companion. The next day, Deuce points out to the two that they are just as inseparable as Gunther and Tinka. So CeCe decides that the two should do something separately for a while. After several desperate calls to some old friends, including her grandmother, CeCe meets Rocky again and sees that she has already made new friends in her karate class. CeCe then hangs out with Tinka, who tells her that she and Gunther will still keep their independence together. Meanwhile, Flynn's friend, Henry, is beaten up by a girl, so Flynn takes him to his karate class.

When they are about to leave, Rocky wants to stay because she really wants to take a picture with Justin Starr's hat. The two catch Justin kissing his manager. CeCe then tries to send the picture to her mother, thinking that she might have a solution to the problem, but sends the picture to everyone on her contact list. They later want to apologize to Justin, but instead of being angry with them, he thanked them and reveals that he is not 16, but 24, and that his manager is also his wife. Meanwhile, Gunther takes flirting tuition from Ty after being turned down by a popular cheerleader. A little later, however, he realizes that he doesn't have to change to please a girl.

When they arrive at the party, they both realize to their regret that they are not guests there, but waiters who are supposed to serve the other guests. In the meantime, Ty and Deuce take care of Flynn, but are disturbed by CeCe's mother, who has come home early due to a mix-up of the roster. A little later she finds them and forces them to tell her where CeCe and Rocky are. Finally CeCe and Rocky are caught and the next day they have to clean the Jones' apartment together with Ty, Deuce, Flynn and Gary as punishment.

After that turns into a disaster, the two learn that they weren't the last to be hired and that Gary wasn't planning to fire them anyway. This leads CeCe to try to cover up for her friend and convince her that she is awesome the way she is. Meanwhile, Flynn and Deuce try to catch a mouse in the Jones' apartment.

Eventually, Savannah starts flirting with Ty, whereupon Deuce breaks up with her. After he realizes why she was with him, he meets Dina. Meanwhile, Flynn helps Henry get some Boy Scout badges, but unfortunately Henry is hopeless.

But Cece doesn't give up and brings her secret weapon in the form of Ty to the show. Meanwhile, Flynn helps Deuce prepare for his role as talent show host.

Rocky thinks Lonely Boy is Gunther and Glitter Girl is Tinka. When the two overheard Gunther talking about his trip the next day, CeCe feels responsible for it. She is then forced by Rocky to go to school dance with him. The guys are now running their own web show called Zombie Talk with advice.

In the meantime, Deuce accidentally kills Flynn's goldfish, Mr. Goldenburg, whereupon he, Ty and Flynn organize an elaborate funeral for the goldfish.

When the two of them dance salsa at Shake It Up, Chicago , their lies are noticed. The PE teacher tells CeCe that she now has to go to summer school while Rocky is excluded from the nerds. As Georgia is called to a private meeting with the PE teacher as a result, the two discover an express interest in each other and start dating. But this relationship ends quickly. Meanwhile, Flynn, Deuce, and Ty have huge problems with Bitsy, a huge dog to watch out for.

Instead, the producer asks Flynn if he would like to appear in a commercial , which later turns out to be one for action pants, a kind of diaper, instead of a commercial for a juice.

But when she hears her friends say they really care about her, she decides to stay. The boys are now doing some unpleasant housework for Mrs. Locassio to earn enough money for a new video game console.

Rocky ends up on a broken bottle, which she is taken to the hospital and has to be operated on. CeCe blames herself for this and fervently prays that the operation will go well. Gunther and Tinka are now playing babysitter for Flynn at the lake. After the operation, Rocky is fine, while Cece breaks his own leg on the way to visit her friend.

Rocky then comes up with the idea to pass some kids from the recreation center as The Highlighters and let them perform on the show. In the last few minutes before their big dance, CeCe and Rocky contract Gary's flu, after which Tinka takes her place at the dance. Meanwhile, Deuce and Flynn avoid doing a variety of chores and go to a Chicago Cubs baseball game instead .

Meanwhile, Gunther and Tinka try to be nice to Deuce, but this only makes them remember why they are not always nice.

Gary's grandma Edie visits Shake It Up, Chicago and tells her own success story as a dancer in the 1950s. The story told is brought to life in flashbacks with the help of the Shake it Up actors. CeCe plays Grandma Wilde there, Rocky is Wilde's best friend and Deuce's character is with Rocky's character. In the story of America in the 50s, with the social and cultural peculiarities prevailing at the time, Grandma Wilde is thrown out of the show and insulted.

Rocky and CeCe have horrified to find that a fire the entire Shake It Up Chicago - Set burned down. Since CeCe was the last one on the set, everyone believes she is the culprit. As a result of the fire, Shake It Up, Chicago, is on hold . On the side, Tinka tries to become Rocky and CeCes girlfriend after Gunther has returned to his hometown. Meanwhile, Gary is depressed that he no longer has a job, so Ty Deuce convinces him to let him work at the pizzeria. Eventually it turns out that Gary's left tanning bed caused the fire.

Shortly before a big gig, the members want to pinch, but Rocky returns and motivates the girls to dare the gig. Flynn is now trying to get a boy who has just moved into the house as a friend. Dina befriends Tinka, which makes Duce feel neglected until Dina realizes that she also has to spend time alone with her boyfriend.

The next day, Cece calls Jeremy over and he reunites with Georgia. In the meantime, Flynn is making himself his own Christmas present because he wins a hot tub in a raffle. Duce is accidentally separated from his family at the airport and spends Christmas with Ty, where he still wants to live out all of his family customs, much to Ty's annoyance.
